During this year’s International Accounting Forum & Awards (IAFA) event, held in London on the 29th of June, Nexia was the recipient of the prestigious Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Initiative of the Year Award. The award celebrates the company that has been the most successful in a given year and has set new, higher standards in implementing diversity, equity and inclusion in its business operations.
The International Accounting Forum & Awards event brings together representatives from across the accounting world and provides an opportunity to discuss the most important issues affecting the industries they represent and their growth opportunities. The event started with a conference where speakers presented the latest strategies, practical cases and solutions for companies to stay ahead of the competition and improve their work. In turn, in the evening, an awards ceremony was took place, which honored companies and their representatives for exceptional contributions to accounting world over the past year.
One of Nexia’s main programs is an initiative that supports the development of future female leaders to realize their full potential and promote women in leadership positions. The program’s mission is to inspire women, boost their confidence and support them on their path to career success. To that end, the inclusive Aspiring Women Leader (AWL) program was launched in 2022, supporting women to self-discover their aspirations and take their own individual career path to success. Women from almost all over the world – Europe, the Middle East, Africa, America and Asia-Pacific – are already participating in the program.
